How to find block corruption in 10g using RMAN..?

On rman => backup validate check logical database;
On sqlplus => select * from v$database_block_corruption;

I have three questions.
1. Whether this command will take the backup of the database.?
2. Will it do that same job what dbv does ?
3. Any other impact on this command.. ?
