Connect to the database as dba and post the results of...
show parameter listener
show parameter service
...then go back to operating system and post content of environmental variables below:
ORACLE_HOME
ORACLE_SID
TNS_ADMIN

ORA-012541-listener problem - reply
I checked the environment variables in the path
my compuer - properties - advanced - environment variables - system variables.
in that regarding oracle only path variable is available its values is
D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\bin;E:\DevSuiteHome_1\jdk\jre\bin\classic;E:\DevSuiteHome_1\jdk\jre\bi n;E:\DevSuiteHome_1\jdk\jre\bin\client;E:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib;E:\DevSuiteHome_1\bin;E:\DevSuiteHome_ 1\jre\1.4.2\bin\client;E:\DevSuiteHome_1\jre\1.4.2\bin;C:\orant\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoo t%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\orant\jdk\bin;C:\Program Files\Samsung\Samsung PC Studio 5\
there are no ORACLE _HOME,ORACLE_SID,TNS_ADMIN etc..
in either user variables or system variables.
But i found one thing in
administrative tools - services - Oracleoradbg10_home1TnsListener
- path to executable is still the old path.
d:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\BIN\TNSLSNR - here 10.1.0 is older version
which was available before. I dont know how to change this path.
with thanks

stop the listener which is running from 10.1.0 home and create new listener from 10.2.0 home.
