Using hints with Insert Statement in PLSQL
Oracle 11g
Does the below statement from within PLSQL block utilize the APPEND hint for direct inserts (without logging)
INSERT /*+ APPEND */ into myTable Select * from myView
1. How does commenting symbols read during execution of the PLSQL code.
2. Does /*+ APPEND */ get ignored or take effect?
or Should we must use something like this
v_myvar := 'INSERT /*+ APPEND */ into myTable Select * from myView';
execute immediate v_myvar;

1- "Commenting Symbols" are part of the syntax of ANY Oracle hint.
2- No. Append hint is taked into consideration because of it.
