convert RAC node to single instance node - no re-install..

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to take a RAC node and convert it to a standalone single instance node?

Can I re-link the binaries or use roothas.pl in some way?

Basically what we are doing is testing the restore of a RAC cluster to a single instance node by taking a complete copy of the /u01 filesystem where the grid and oracle homes reside and then manually rebuiling the ASM volumes etc.
Where its failing is at the start of the ASM instance. It complains it cannot connect to the OCS daemons etc. The options I have are to re-install as stand alone or some other method...

This is a 11gR2 cluster and the plan is to still use ASM just not the CRS components.

Can I use rootcrs.pl in some way to delete the CRS components?
