    adaptive cursor sharing

    Hi,
adaptive cursor sharing - does it apply to sql statement already using bind variables?
or only to sql statements that have literals replaced with bind variables?

    Thanks&Regards

It applies to queries using bind variables. period.

Please take into consideration that adaptive-cursor-sharing is designed to help in those particular cases where data distribution of specific columns dramatically changes from one moment to the next - like making a column that five minutes ago had low cardinality a high cardinality column right now.

If your data distribution is stable over time you do not need adaptive-cursor-sharing.

    Hope this helps.
