    Oracle error: illegal attribute type

    Hi,

    when user trying to connect the database using db alias, he gets the following error:

    ORA-03135 : Connection lost contact.
    ORA-24315 : illegal attribute type.


    what could be the reason for this? Is this critical to database?

    It seems to be an issue with parameters. what method you are using to connect?
