    Install oracle 10g (oracleXEuniv.exe)

    hi,

    i downloaded the oracle 10g express edition (oracleXEuniv.exe) from oracle website.
    but setup is unknown application.
    so, please suggest me, is any set up launcher required for installing the oracleXEuniv on window server 2003.

    not required. Please check if it is downloaded completely. The size should be 206MB.

    yes, the size is 206 mb. but setup is unknown application. why?

    Not sure what other problems you have in your system. Is service pack & all the windows updates including .NET Framework are in place?

    You can download it from the same place from where you downloaded XE. Search for it.

    Install oracle 10g (oracleXEuniv.exe) - Fix

    I had the same problem. You need to add the .exe extension to the filename. Go into your Folder Options -> View and uncheck "hide extensions for known file types", then go to your file and add the .exe extension.
