    Smile Ora-12560 : Tns : Protocol adapter error

    I have XP Professional.

    I am new to SQL. I was practiced little but it is throwing me error now.

    Help needed.

    Do you have a properly setup TNSNAMES.ora file?
    Have you setup environmental variables like ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID?
