Thread: Dynamic SQL

    This is a wild shot for an answer. I have been developing some dynamic SQL stored procs. These run fine from pl/sql and from InfoMaker. We have a system called Advance that we plug in InfoMaker reports with Stored Procs to retrieve data. Those procs that use dynamic SQL will get a disconnect error when run from within the Advance system, unless first run from Infomaker. Apparently our SQL system is (Oracle) refreshed or cleared out each evening and that has something to do with dynamic SQL procs not running from the Advance system each morning. Any ideas ?

    I'm sorry, but this is not a reply but actually a question for you. How do you get to run periodic procedures in Oracle. I can see that by your question you've been able to do that.
