Oracle Resource Manager
I have a question about Oracle Resource Manager in 10.2.0.4. We have a server with 4 databases on it. Each one hosts a different application.
Is it possible to create Resource Plans in each one to only allow each one access to 25% of the CPU? I know I can control the amount of CPU allocated to different groups within one database but I was wondering if I created a main group in each one to have 25% and then subplans under that.
Has anyon done this before?

no, you cannot
you should have one database with 4 schemas in it

Thanks Dave
Thanks for your reply. By the way I think I found a solution if anyone else is interested

2) it's a poor solution because when you want the extra resource for the database, you cannot have it as you have specified a maximum
the only real solution is one instance with 4 schema so you can control it properly
