    Oracle standard edition replication

    Hi,

I need to replicate data from plant to head office and vice-versa.
    Following is our business case.

exisitng application is running independently at 7 locations Developed using Visual Basic with backend oracle.

Now we need to maintain data of all locations at all places.

Can you please help me to handle this using oracle standard edition.

check out Oracle Streams. It comes with Oracle SE and no additional licenses are not required.

    Thanks,

    Hi, oracle standard edition streams

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

Oracle streams is part of Enterprise edition. correct me if I am wrong.

I am not finding any document on net which says that streams is a part of standard edition.

Look at document ID 567872.1 in Metalink. You need to run Enterprise Edition to get the full advantage of using streams. You can use manual replication, but that requires a lot of work on your part.

    Good luck!

Please look into metalink document id 1084132.1; this document applied to 11.2

Agree with gandolf, there are some limitations while using streams with SE.

    Thanks,
