Too broad of a question, this exceeds what can be addressed in a forum thread... entire books - literally - address this matter, like http://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Applica.../dp/0072125497

    Hi,
My question is still there. I know about database administration but i want to know if there is any document available regarding the tuning of Oracle Applications Release 12.
Oracle Applications Release 12 consists of the following components:

    1. Oracle Database 10g
    2. Oracle Forms Server
    3. Oracle Reports Server
    4. Oracle HTTP Server.

I want to tune all of these components. If any one knows please let me know.

    Regards

    Hi
Actually my Oracle Appliations R12 is not giving good performance and therefore i have to tune it. Thats why i posted this question.
Forms, Reports and self service forms are taking too much time.
I don't know where to start from.

Well... you have to choose a target to take your shot.

Was the system performing fine then suddlendy started to perform poorly? what changed?

Look at disk I/O... look for I/O contention.
Look at CPU status... are they in User? Idle? or Wait state most of the time?
Run AWR report and look at wait events, I/O
