Flashback and Fast fail over

Hi all,

I know flashback would consume certain space for flashback area. I am trying to set up Fast Fail over for my DG and it would need flahs back on as one of the requirement. My question is when will the flashback area will be cleanup or deleted?

when you are applying the command
ALTER DATABASE FLASHBACK OFF;
the flashback log will be deleted automatically.
