    Smile Queries Regarding User Management

    Hi Friends,

I have some Queries regarding user management in Oracle 9i.

Assume SYS user had created 2 users 'Thomas' and 'John' with limited priviledge and access. Now Thomas came to know about John password by mistake, John needs to change his password. Can the password be changed by himself or should he need to contact SYS user?

If so pls let me know the query pls....

Do we call Thomas and John as Database User or Application User?

    Thanks
    Aravind

please read fine oracle concepts documentation and put some effort before asking such questions. If you got any error while testing post the error details.
