    question about setting up a standby database

    I am running oracle 10.2.0.4 and I would like to set up a standby database. I have been reading up on how to set it up, however I think I have missed the answer to a simple question, can the standby db be on a server that is running a different OS then the production database. My production database is on AIX and I would like to set up the standby on a windows server.
