    session taking up resources and the SQL is unknown

    I am looking at the database through OEM. It is 10g. there is one session that has spiked the the active session section. When I click on the top activity and the sesion ID the sql with the most activity shows up as unknown. the majority of the activity is a commit. When I click on the general tab it shows for wait log file sync. can somone shed some light on this. When I query the V$SQLAREA view for poor sql queries I don't see anything.
