    11g buffer cache

    Hi guys,

    Any recomedations on oracle 11g DB cache on HP UX 11.31.

    Can any one can suggest me some.

    Here is what I would do - I'm assuming you are upgrading an existing database from Ora10g to Ora11g

    - Check buffer_cache hit ratio on current Ora10g instance.
    - Set Ora11g buffer_cache as Ora10g is set
    - Over time check buffer_cache hit ratio on new Ora11g instance - tune as appropriate.
