    How to restore and recover DB when SYSTEM tablespace was corrupted?

    Hi,

    How to restore and recover DB when SYSTEM tablespace was corrupted?

    In the following Conditions..

    Conditions..

    1) My DB is running in NOARCHIEVE LOG mode.

    2) My DB is running in ARCHIEVE LOG mode.

    I am not havng any previous old backups.

    Can anybody help me?

    Sorry, no backups = no recovery.
    Maybe you will need to resign, a dba is as good as his/her backups.

    Can't have it both ways.

    The exception to that, is that if there is enough online redo available you might be able to resolve the issue with online redo. But yes, generally speaking you can't do point in time recovery when you aren't in archivelog mode.

    no backup, so online redo wont help here either
