Oracle 10g r2 standby startup question
We are on Oracle 10G R2 on SLES 10-/SPK2.
Could someone tell me the proper way to startup a standby database after a reboot so it can start applying arcfiles.. In past I always used startup but apparently that's not it because the Arcfiles keep increasing.
I already have the listener started I see that running..
do I use a startup nomount and something else?
Thanks

Did you look it up?
Else, you could just look it up in the fine Oracle® Data Guard Concepts and Administration manual.

Try hard to get what you like OR you will be forced to like what you get.
