    Hi,
look at the spool command. It saves all typed commands and feedbacks.

    Hi,

can you give me small discription about the same?
for example i have started sqlplus environment now....and i have entered some of the commands ....and so on....and am exited.
Now i want to save these all typed commands in to one textfile based on date like "08032009.txt".
as you told how to initialize this .txt file before entering any commands in sqlplus environment.

    Thanks
    Rajesh

So, do you think I'm a documentation interface?

    SQL> spool 08032009.txt
    SQL> -- your commands here
    SQL> spool off

No offense but I would start with simple O/S stuff, then move into Oracle.
