I have read the concepts & administration guide, installation guide and almost all the available links in the google search but no help find.

    Here is my environment:
    DB Server:
    OS - Windows 2003 R2 64bit
    Oracle - 10g R2 32 bit
    OFS Server - 3.4.1 64 bit

    OFS Management System:
    OS - Windows 2003 R2 32bit
    OFS Manager - 3.3.4 32 bit

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Vijay Tummala

    Hi Dave,

That is not correct. listener.ora file is in %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin folder and accessible.

In the fail safe documentation Oracle said that OFS check for the listener.ora file in the ORACLE_HOME. So it should locate the file.

    Thanks,
    Vijay Tummala

    Hi Dave,

listener.ora file is there in the actual location where it is suppose to be. I am still wondering why OFS is not able to open that file. I am able to access that file thru explorer and able to edit that file. Is there any other way to check?

    Thanks,
    Vijay Tummala

I have resolved my issue by installing 10g R2 64bit (10.2.0.3 pach applied) and OFS 3.4 (3.4.0.6 patch applied).

I followed the same installation steps both the times as per OFS installation guide. The only difference is, this time I have installed 64 bit Oracle and patched it to 10.2.0.3, patched OFS from 3.4.1 to 3.4.6.

    Thanks,

    Hi mye dear friend,

Although such a database installed in 32 bits, you must install the OFS Manager - 3.3.4, but 64 bits, since the system where Oracle binaries reside is 64 bits.

Please check the following note on metalink:

Subject: Add standalone resource using OFSM fails with FS-10052 FS-10579 FS-10177 FS-10179
    Doc ID: 779419.1 Type: PROBLEM

    Thanks Miguel.

However, this issue has been resolved 3 months back.

    Thanks,
