export from toad to excel

wanted to find a guideline to export data to excel from toad for oracle 9. i need to export different data from different tables and based on a date range. any help would be great.

In toad, open sql editor, and type the sql statement. then
it diplays the required rows. the select all the resulted rows,
right clik , save as excel file.
