    OID vs OracleNames

I got a recent email saying - 'All Oracle Names Servers will be going down in teh future. Use your OID to connect to databases'. What does this mean ?

What changes do we have to do to our sqlnet.ora and /or tnsnames.ora on the client machines ? The client computers use either oracle 9i or 11g.

    Thanks.

Cool OID's the way to go

ONAMES no longer will be supported.

You need to install OID (Oracle Identity Management).
