Change value of log_archive_dest_1 parameter to any correct value (directory) you want and archived redo logs will be created there as well

Doesn't work:
I add this in my init.ora file
*.log_archive_dest_1='/u01/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area/ORCL/archivelog/'



Enter user-name: sys as sysdba
Enter password:
Connected to an idle instance.

SQL> create spfile from pfile;

File created.

SQL> startup
ORA-16024: parameter LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1 cannot be parsed
SQL> exit
Disconnected
