urgent!! Please help with lock data file
Hi all,
I restored the database from the cold backup but when i try to start the database it gives me error
cannot identify data file = 9 See DBWR..
the file name /db_index.dbf.
what should i do to resolve it. Should i restore that file agiain from the backup?

ORA-01157, huh?
is the file available?
are file privileges okay?
does the file appears to have the right size?

did you also recover it? may be you also need media recovery.

Please post all entry from alert.log related to your problem to make easy for us to help you
It seems that the files isn't there or you haven't any permission for that file to read it
Please post
1. All error what you get
2. Evidence (ls -lh) that the file in the same directory and has all permissions
