This is on a Solaris 10 box running 10.2.0.4 64-bit. I have been taking hot backups as well as testing rman scripts on this database. Last weekend I needed to setup the standby database for this database again, so I created a standby control file. Now during the rman backups and at other odd times i get an email saying that it can't find this file. But i don't need the file for recovery, so i wish it would just give up looking for the file.

Any ideas on what I did wrong, and what I need to do to stop this error message from happening?

Thanks,

Brian
