    problem in exporting (11g)

    I have a server which has oracle 11g and another one on which i have oracle 9i. now form the server which is having 9i i m taking export of 11g database it is giving error. If i run -
    exp system/jflex@relapp1 FILE=relapp1.dmp log=relapp1.log FULL=Y
    error comes saying :
    About to export the entire database ...
    . exporting tablespace definitions
    . exporting profiles
    . exporting user definitions
    . exporting roles
    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 1406 encountered
    ORA-01406: fetched column value was truncated
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

    but if i dont take full dump export completes successfully
    please suggest what can be the problem

    Are you using the 9i export utility against an 11g database?
    I remember when this place was cool.
