    Transport data from 10g->9i

    Pretty sure I can't use transportable tablespace option as the headers will be wrong.

    Exp/imp my only option?

    Try hard to get what you like OR you will be forced to like what you get.

    Trying to avoid exporting using a db link into 10g using 9i export.

    Not tried to transport a tablespace from 10g to 9i yet but pretty sure it won't work.

    Both DB's are on the same server running Solaris 9

    Can anyone confirm or deny?

    I think you are making a mix of two different techniques.

    Either you move the data over a dblink or you exp/imp.
