    Listener issue with Oracle database on Vista

    The listener service is not created!

    Even 'lsnrctl start' fails as shown below:

    I've installed Oracle Database 11g on Vista and also tried installing Oracle Database 10g (10.2.0.3) and facing the same issue with the Listener.

    use netca (or netmgr - cant remember which one it was) and see if it will create a listener for you

    Nope! Does not work...so I'm downgrading to Windows XP!
