not much clear, could u please bit clear..

for example.. backup is taken last night with archive logs... in case want to restore and recover till 1 hour back, then i restore backup and apply all the changes from archive logs which did not backup and redo log files. . how archive log files that had been backed up as part of full database backup will help in this scenario?

can you please tell me scenario where archive logs that had been backed up as part of full database backup help in restore and recovery scenario?

will archive logs that had been backed up as part of full database backup help us to take DB back in past time earlier actual backup time at backup taken place? how??!!

    thank you all.

so you are going to keep all you log files on the server? what happens if the server blows up, run out of disk space

    why do you backup anything?

If you are taking full backup that doesn't mean that you don't need any previous archive logs. As Davey said, you still need archive logs if you need to restore the database any time between two backups.

However, it's upto your backup recovery strategy to take the backup of archive logs along with full backup or you can backup archive logs seperately.

    Thanks,

    sorry ... there is a typo in my last post ... it's " recover " NOT " restore ".
