    No Archivelogs are being produced

    Hello all,

    In Oracle 9i I made a backup successfully but in the directory where the backup file goes there are no Archivelogs.

    The Archive log list; shows that it is in Archive Mode,Enabled and the path where tey supposed to go but nothing.

    Could someone help me with that?

    thanks

    1- Not sure why you think making a backup is related to creation of archivelogs, archivelogs are generated then you have to back them up.

    2- log into the system, insert and delete some rows in a test table, commit and then do...

    alter system checkpoint global;
    alter system archive log current;

    ... then check your archivelog directory.

    Also, please post the output of "show parameter archive"
