    Reg AWR report analysis

    Hi everyone,

    My database is sitting on Win 2003 HP server. Database size is about 2TB. and we are using onlt FTS. no indexes.
    have 2000 datafiles scaterd in diferent SCSI drives.
    Could any body suggest me which keypoints i need to see in AWR report to analyze it.

    Please help me. I have the .html AWR reports with me....

    2TB database with no indexes?

    You don't need any AWR report, you are far away from having to look into it.

    You are wasting your money paying for Oracle if you are not using it.

    What is the logic behind not using indexes? Why are you only using FTS?
    One, who thinks that the other one who thinks that know and does not know, does not know either!

    I guess you got enough suggetions now.

    Look for Top 5 Timed Events .

    There should be scattered read in the top wait events.

    Then look into the "SQL ordered by Reads".
    Get the sql and now you better know what to do with them.

    Dang! you are good man, how did you figure it out top wait event would be scattered read in a indexes-less database? The poor guy is already bleeding on the floor, no reason to kick him.

    I know what i'm. I do not need any goddamn comments on that front.

    Let's come to the point. When the sqls get tuned the scattered read will be less now and that's what a good indicator for him to know from AWR report how much tuning required.
