    Hi,
    Can anyone give me some idea on how to start the Oracle Management Server??!!! I would like to use the full capability of DBA studio..

    If you are using NT, go to your services and startup the OracleSIDManagement server service. Then log on.

    Hi,
    Thanks for ur suggestion..But when I tried that, I'm getting this error.. I forgot to mention this before!!!

    When I try to start up the server, it gives this message:

    "Couldn't start the OracleManagementServer Service on local
    computer

    Error 997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress"


    How can I find the overlapping operation???!!!

    Basically, it says that you have checked the "Do not save username and password" check box , so a workaround is entering the OEM Configuration Assistant and uncheck it.

    Hi,
    That was such a great help!!! I found out the problem.. I didn't even have the omsconfig.properties file!!!! As I'm new to oracle admin, learning one by one now only.. Now, have to figure out to get this..

    If u have any ideas, could u please suggest.. Thanks..
