    Elapsed time VS DB TIme

Snap Id Snap Time Sessions Cursors/Session
    Begin Snap: 1663 21-Jul-08 10:00:28 80 10.9
    End Snap: 1686 21-Jul-08 16:08:01 172 11.5
    Elapsed: 367.55 (mins)
    DB Time: 4,879.90 (mins)

I am looking at the "DB Time" of 4879.90 minutes; and comparing the value with my elapsed time - not sure if its ok to see a higher DB time than elapsed time.

    Thanks,
    Govind

Elapsed time is the duration of your snapshot. DB time means CPU time consumed during that elapsed time. So you should have definitely more then 4879.90/367.55 >= 14 cpu. Now check your cpu utilization , let's say if it's 50%, that means you got 14*(100/50)=28 cpu.

I am not so sure that snapshot differentiate between different cpu's . I never have seen db time higher than elapsed time. Could it be a bug ?
One, who thinks that the other one who thinks that know and does not know, does not know either!

No i do not think it's a bug, if you got a very busy system(cou intensive operations)with multpile cpus, you can see it.
