How to Configure Windows NT Mail on Alert Manager - System - Option

Hi

This is Regarding Oracle Financial Application.
In 11i-AOL, Alert Manager, there is an option to configure Windows NT Mail(New Feature of 11i) to Send and Recieve Mails (Oracle Alerts-Message).
Anybody knows, what is the configuration?
Our Company Mail Server is Window NT.
But, Our Oracle Application Server is Solaris Machine.
We want to configure the Mail settings .. while sending Oracle Alert from Oracle application, it should reach our NT Mail server.

In Unix settings Alert is working fine.
But, How to do the Windows NT Mail settings on this Application ?

Hi,

Looks like you need to configure sendmail on solaris. Then if you are able to send emails from your server to any addrss(eg: somebody@yahoo.com) , configure Alert in Apps to use sendmail to send Alerts.

Do one thing check wether your workflow mailer is up and running
then go to alert manager-->options-->
Select windows NT mail
and once selected you will be directed to the Mailserver options
there specify the Ip address of the NT mailserver
specify and email address( from the SMTP NT mailserver) specify there password and you are readdy to go
