Trigger, lost without delete
Hi all
I encountered a scenario that the trigger was lost, but there wasn't any delete operation on this trigger.
First, I want to know who and when did the trigger be removed, does this information contains in redo log?or any other logs? Is it possible that the system is out-of-memory, then Oracle choose to delete the trigger internally? but I think it should at least leave a message for me.

someone dropped it
unless you have auditing on - you wont find out
no, oracle wouldnt delete it - that would be stupid

If necesary, I also recommend you create a DDL trigger to either record and/or prevent schema changes.
till someone drops that trigger

Well, if need arises, you'd surely have to do something like what LKBrwn_DBA
has mentioned in case you don't have auditing turned on.

that's funny, right?. I don't think Larry would be in business with that kind of logic...
