Database Repository Tool to use

Hi Guys,

I try to find a proper tool which would do schema versioning, have central repository, schema comparison, DDL code generation & reverse engineering, fast performance.

I evaluated 3 program products: ER/Studio, Erwin & PowerDesigner from Sybase, Oracle Change Manager - is deadly slow and keep crashing.

Unfortunately none of them can do proper comparison & DDL code generation. They all failed during the simple test:
1) reverse engineering schema
2) generate DDL
3) create new oracle schema and run DDL code
4) compare 2 schemas.

Obviously these 2 schemas must be identical, but they are not.

Please advice you have in mind some other tool we could use.

Yes, they claim they can do it ... but this is a 9th months since they are fixing their bugs, I don't believe they ever going to fix them all.
They probably can do reverse engineering, but if you do a simple test as I did above - you will be very surprised. Have a look attached file and you'll see the way they geneare DDL for views and execution results.
