    Re-configure GC after hostname change

We've recently renamed a server from A to B and of course GC still thinks it's A. I've looked around a bit but haven't found any good information about changing the server name in the config files. So far, I've changed the OMS home/sysman/config emd.properties and httpd_en.conf files, but I still see references to A. Any suggestions or pointers to good documentation regarding this? Thanks!

    Cool

Did you rename the server where OMS is hosted or some other server?

Yes. OMS and the repository live on the same server that was renamed.

Check following file and stop/start the agent:

    ./agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties

    In OMS check also:

    ./oms10g/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf
    ./oms10g/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf.default
    ./oms10g/Apache/Apache/conf/mod_oc4j.conf
    ./oms10g/Apache/Apache/conf/mod_oc4j.conf.default
    ./oms10g/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.conf
    ./oms10g/Apache/modplsql/conf/dads.conf
    ./oms10g/Apache/modplsql/conf/marvel.conf
    ./oms10g/config/ias.properties
    ./oms10g/dcm/config/dcm.conf
    ./oms10g/opmn/conf/ons.conf
    ./oms10g/sysman/config/emd.properties
    ./oms10g/sysman/config/emd.properties.tzbak
    ./oms10g/sysman/config/emiasconsole.properties
    ./oms10g/sysman/config/emoms.properties

I've modifed all of the files mentioned. Still no luck. I see a lot of references to the old node name A. Doing a find command executing grep for node A still shows quite a bit of references to node A, however there are a lot of *cache* files and logs as well.

    Talking emca ok?

Backup the repository database and try emca.
    Code:
    emca -deconfig dbcontrol db
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreate
