Find incomplete patching by running sql query.

    Hi,

I am applying a oracle 11i apps patch, while patching i want to find :

    1. Monitor the patching activities by running sql query.

    2. while patching the system goes down or reboot then how to find which patch is incomplete by running sql query.

    Thanks in advance.

I guess, You cannot monitor by sql query.,,

But you can monitor the activity in the log file., may be u can say
tail -f to get continouls updates.

Also, to find out if the patch is complete or not, you have to rely on logfiles.
You can find the patch completion message at the end of the file.

Also, Next time when you restart the adpatch, It asks you if you want to continue the previous stopped patch....
