    Invalid object

    Hi, how to compile Invalid objects in database through oracle with using third party tool like toad. Is there any dbms_package for performing this task.

    What kind of invalid object?

    Is it a storedproc?

    ALTER PROCEDURE schema.procname COMPILE

    You can easily research proper syntax for packages, package bodies, triggers and functions.

    You can create a global script some thing like below. You will get the list of all invalid objects.

    select 'alter '||decode(object_type,'PACKAGE BODY','PACKAGE',object_type)||' '||owner||'.'||object_name||' COMPILE '||decode(object_type,'PACKAGE BODY','BODY')||';'from dba_objects where status <> 'VALID' order by owner, object_type

    Try hard to get what you like OR you will be forced to like what you get.
