Oracle Application Server: Problem starting Oracle http server...

I am trying to start Oracle http server (Apache) which comes with Oracle application server. I am getting following errors in errorlog.

[warn] pid file /oracle/product/..../Apache/Apache/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run?

I tried starting it using opmnctl, apachectl but no help.
I also, removed / deleted the file httpd.pid before restarting but same error.

    Any help is appreciated.

You are getting that WARNING message because either the process got killed or the box got recycled without having stopped Apache.

Usually Apache is smart enough to clean up the mess; does it starts?
    Yes?... so... what's the problem?
Just be nice and next time stop Apache before rebooting the system.
