11g standby backup

Hi Friends,

I haven't downloaded 11g DB yet for windows, is it available now?
Does 11g have new features like making standby backup for open O.S.?

Say I have IBM AIX P5 DB server which is more expensive than intel windows
based. I want my standby backup reside on intel based server for costs reason, is it possible?
