    Add new datafile

hi, I want to add a datafile to existing tablespace. But the directory /u01, where oracle_home and datafiles are present has no space. The operating system is Solaris.

Question: Can I add a datafile to existing tablespace in another directory
/u02 ? If yes, do I need to change the owner and group of the new datafile in /u02. Do I need to change the ownership to same as datafiles of /u01?

    thanks,

You are asking a lot of questions in the forum -it is not a "solving this" issue, you have a lot of problems there, probably much more than you can see. You need a DBA.
