    test database ......

I want to create test database as like my prod db.
Database was created but now I want to refresh my test database with recent archivelog .

My intention is test database is update every one hour with archivelog.

Im not want to use this command “RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE.”

Moreover im not want to use traditional standby database.

Is it possible what my desired? ??
    Looking forward to your feedback.
Again sorry for my poor English.

sounds like you need a standby database

'Database was created' -- if this wasn't done intending to make a standby database then your archivelogs are useless against it. Using some fancy LVM footwork would allow you to open the standby database, modify it, then roll it back to the pristine state and apply archivelogs against it again. I also heard someone on the Oracle.com forums suggest that flashback database might be able to properly roll back a DB such that archivelogs can again be applied to it, but I don't know if that will work or not.

Would a logical standby work for you better? Why don't you want a 'traditional' standby database?

    Hi,
    How about using Oracle Streams?
