    Agent Not Running

    Hello:

    I just installed Oracle 10g on Windows XP and received the following error message:
    java.lang.Exception: Exception in sending Request :: null

    I did some research and discovered that my agent is not running. I believe the command emctl status agent is the correct one to use.

    Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

    use "emctl start agent" to start your agent if it is not running.
    Also check if your agent related service is running.
