Hi All,
I am trying to install 9i on hpux-11.2 already 10g binaries are installed on it
so java is installed at /opt/java1.5/ but i am getting an error when trying to invoke runInstaller.

The Java RunTime Environment was not found at /tmp/OraInstall2007-09-28_08-46-00PM/jre/bin/ja
va. Hence, the Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run.
Please visit http://www.javasoft.com and install JRE version 1.3.1 or higher and try again.
: No such file or directory

I have seen this problem if you downloaded the software and have unzip'ed it into separate directories. Try to unzip into the same directory and start the installation. That should work.

Thanks,archive files were corrupted had to unzip it again.
