What "details for preparation" are you looking for? What exactly are you planning to do?
There are many duties an Oracle DBA performs and therefore there are many reference manuals for the various duties.
If you're looking for a starter manual, aside from Oracle's own documentation, Oracle Press has many books that would get you started and then some. O'Reilly also has a ton of books on Oracle DBA tasks.
I would suggest that you sign up for two things, Metalink http://metalink.oracle.com/ (you need a CSI number)
and Oracle Technology Network http://technet.oracle.com/ (free)
These are good places to get various types of documentation on whatever you might need.
Good luck

Hi,
There is not substitute for Oracle Manuals, if you have. Else you may opt for a book called DBA HANDBOOK, which is very very useful and contains the diluted information from Oracle Manuals, you may also refer to OCP certification guides, which helps U in 2 ways, to pass exam as well as prepare as a DBA

If you want to become a DBA and your company asks you to become one in 30 days, it is a good chance to get an entry into this field. Since you are an Oracle Programmer it will help to a large extent but I would still suggest to propose your company for some formal training. Be thorough with Oracle Architecture and that is your strength. Everything can be related to how well you understood that part. Secondly regards to Manuals and webistes there are 100's..
Go to technet.oracle.com and read as much docs as you can.
Oraclenotes.com, lazydba.com, ora.org, metalink.. so many..
As you go along you will know more and more..
Thx.
