Migration and upgradation ... need migration steps

1-- what is migration in relation to Oracle DBA.
I read many articles .. and referred forums.. I have seen these terms migration and upgradation used interchangeably. some one please clarify

2--Is it migrating oracle from one platfrom like windows to another platform linux or solaris

3--Is it from oracle 9.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.1 ( according to me this should be upgrade)

4---Then what is transferring the data from one dbms software like Sybase or access to another oracle

5---what is moving the oracle 10g database from one RHEL 4 server to another RHEL 4 linux server called as . i.e .. moving the data from one server to another server ..

Can some one please give me detailed migration steps...

the two words mean the same, you have upgraded to a new version and you have migrated to a new version as well
