    Oracle apps Server specification

    All Gurus ,

    I am new to this and have been asked to create a report for Server specifications for Oracle Apps.

    they want to use parallel processing , RAC env. , balance loader
    DB size would be somewhere 300 tera bytes

    I want to know what hould be the server specifications like
    how many box CPU's for application tier, Database tier etc.
    How maney servers for application, Database etc..
    What should be the server capacity?
    What should be the server speed and processor
    What hardwares are required etc..

    Pls help..

    300TB?

    You don't want to setup that kind of environment based on the answers you get in a forum.

    Hire a Systems Architect with proven experience in large environments; don't be surprised if you need about three month to put together your final specs.

    For your quick reply.

    It would be used by 190,000 users and there will be a complete analysis for the servers specs.

    I just wanna have a rough idea, not the exact report.

    My Boss had asked me to come up with some general information/requirements that we may need for such a big prototype.

    Since I am neither a system architecture nor a DBA, I have no idea what to say.

    Pls help..

    no, no-one here can tell you that - you need to do very detailed analysis.

    Tell your boss you have no idea and that you need external help
