    Dear Friends,

We have a Windows 2003 server with 20 machines as oracle clients. But the count of v$session comes around 115.Now we want to purchase Oracle 10g Release 2.What licence should we buy?

    Thanks in advance.

Could you tell me, if 20 users licence is enough or not? It is hard to contact sales people here..I am trying for hours.

    thanks

    Call sales really.
Oracle licenses named users. So no matter how many machines or sessions you have, the people who works with the system counts. You need one license for each NAMED user (such as John, Peter, Mary, Stephen)
Alternatively you can license on per CPU basis, where you pay for each CPU of your server and no matter how many users do you have. Usually that comes more expensive when you have small user population

    Regards
